A4 Note Card Dies

___________________________________________________________________

A4 Note Cards measure 3.5″ x 5″, and come in (5) fab styles.

The holidays are a busy time of year, so why not create a set of note cards from dies to help save time! There are (5) fun styles to choose from to add variety and interest to your cards this season and all year long.

A4 Envie + Liner Dies

____________________________________________________________________

A handmade note card deserves an equally awesome handmade envelope to match, not to mention a super stylish envie liner to give it a little extra bit of creative detail.

Flat note cards are a great for holiday mailings. We started with a die cut A4 Note Card and created a custom sentiment with the Alpha Wide stamp set to spell “merry” in My Style Blueprint ink. The geometric filler images add a fun and playful element to this modern design.

We added a bold liner by stamping Designer Lines in Perfect Little Black Dress Ink. The liner is purposely shorter along the top edge of the envie to allow for adhesive to seal the envelope closed.

A4 Pocket Fold Envie Die

___________________________________________________________________

The A4 Pocket Fold Envie is perfect for party invitations, note card enclosures, photo cards, and more.

When a project calls for an enclosure, we reach for the A4 Pocket Fold Envie Die.  ____________________________________________________________________

Cover Prints 1

___________________________________________________________________

Cover an area with fun movement in a variety of traditional iconic designs,

Add pretty details to projects with one simple stamp. Here we heat embossed the trail of stars with gold embossing powder for a holiday card that sparkles!

By using the A4 Note Card as a popped up panel, and die cutting the A4 Envie and matching glittery liner, these holiday cards are simple to assemble and great for mass producing with style.

Duly Noted

___________________________________________________________________

Make a statement and be seen with the wide sentiment bars in this stamp set. Mix and match for a variety of occasions.

When it comes to giving gifts, its the thought that counts.  Grand gestures can certainly come in sweet and simple packages.

Color blocking is a classic trend that you can pretty much bank on being a design staple for years to come. Here we went with a traditional holiday mix of red and white. Our envie has a simple Dare to be a Diva Red inked stripe for a bold, yet simple statement.

To create this stripe we masked off the envelope with just a thin edge exposed. Next we inked up our Create-a-Plaid: Wide stripe and stamped onto the envelope. We peeled back the mask to reveal a perfect striped edge envie.

Inside is a stamped liner using the snowflake background bar from Cover Prints 1.

Can we say #PartialTagDieLove?! How perfect for creating sentiment strip tags by pairing them with the Partial Tag Dies. We die cut the partial tag, then stamped our sentiment, and trimmed the edges to create the tag. Thread with a bit of Silver/White twine and you are all set to go.

Let’s just say we have a bowl of these tags handy at our gift wrapping station!

COLLECTION 9: the Holiday Collection

We are rolling right into Christmas and getting a jump start on New Year, with today’s new additions to the Collection 9 release.

Throughout the week, we will be sharing a variety of new product and lots of crafty inspiration for making your holidays the prettiest ever with our Make it Pretty: Holiday Collection.

This entire collection is filled with stamps and dies that make gift giving a true work of art. We LOVE to give gifts, receive gifts, open gifts, share gifts…you get the picture. This release is dedicated to gift giving. In each series, you will find so many useful options that will carry you well beyond the holiday season.

This series is truly about the holidays, and creating for all sorts of fun occasions that are celebrated between now and the new year.

____________________________________________________________________

Oh Deer

___________________________________________________________________

Oh deer is right!  We are completely smitten with deers, and couldn’t resist a stamp set dedicated to fun deer silhouette images.

We often think of rustic, woodsy textures and patterns with deer, so we opted for a bold gingham pattern in black on kraft with a pop of color. To soften the card we paired it with a Muslin Bag for the envie, and a sweet stamped banner flag style logo.

___________________________________________________________________

Party Elements: Winter Woodlands

____________________________________________________________________

Holiday season is the height of party season, and Party Elements: Winter Woodlands is a great set for creating invitations, favors, dressing up envelopes, making name tags, and so much more with the life-like silhouette images.

While designed for party prepping, you can certainly create a variety of Winter Woodlands holiday cards.

We chose the adorable polar bear image and stamped in Pressed Greige Linen Ink. We then drew a scarf on each bear with a Copic marker, and went back and outlined the scarf in a Multiliner Pen.

(Post Edited to Add) Here’s a quick guide to walk you through how we created the scarves:

____________________________________________________________________

Nutcracker Holiday

___________________________________________________________________

We have lots of holiday traditions in our house, and for many years we went to go see the Nutcracker ballet. It’s such a beautiful story filled with the magic and whimsy of the holiday season.

  • Nutcracker Holiday {$24}
  • Includes (25) stamps
  • Mix and match to create a variety of sentiments.

We love this set because it has both traditional images and more modern abstract options – like the build-able nutcracker face on the tag, and the ‘stache card.

  ____________________________________________________________________

Rag Doll House: North Pole

___________________________________________________________________

Our Rag Dolls are getting ready for Christmas, as they have headed up to the North Pole to give Santa a helping hand.

When it comes to Rag Dolls, we love to create fun scenes. And with creating scenes, it requires a bit of masking – which is by far our favorite technique.

____________________________________________________________________

Petite Banner Dies

___________________________________________________________________

You can never have too many banners in your stamping stash, and these petite banners are a fun new addition.

These little banners are sized to fit both large and small areas. Here we used it on a Tags 2 tag, hoping Santa will be able to find his cookies when he makes his way down the chimney (and not to worry Santa, we’ll get you new cookies before December 25th!)

Our cookies are neatly packaged in a stamped Party Favor 11, tucked inside a 3″ Flat Bottom Clear Candy Bag, and secured with a Red/White Striped Ribbon.

____________________________________________________________________

New Year Cheer

___________________________________________________________________

With all this fuss over the holidays, it’s only fitting that we properly prepare to ring in the new year in style!

When we think of celebrating the countdown to 2014 black and gold immediately came to mind – it’s a fierce and fabulous color combo to start the new year! The Polaroid Frame Die and Party Favor 13 are dressed in gold, and accented with a Bow Trio: Mini and Perfect Little Black Dress double-faced satin ribbon.

COLLECTION 9: the Holiday Collection

Baby it’s cold outside, and old man winter is steadily knocking at our craft room door! New to Collection 9 is a fun series dedicated to the universal symbol for winter – snow, or as we like to call them…flurries!

We’ve loved creating flurries since our very first art project in kindergarten….you know the one where you fold up a circle, make a series of cut outs and when unfolded reveals a marvelous snowflake design. Well we have since graduated to a more modern take on DIY fun with flurries.

____________________________________________________________________

Flurry Die

___________________________________________________________________

Create a bold winter statement with a big, beautiful flurry die.

  • Flurry {$20}
  • Includes (1) die
  • Measures approximately 5.5″

We are no strangers to Inlaid Die Cutting – this is a technique when you double cut a die so that you can create a single layer. We have shared inlaid die cutting here, here, and here.

As an alternative option, we went with a Faux Inlaid technique. This is when you use the back of the die to create a depression in your cardstock. Next you die cut your cardstock to inlay, and adhere it in the depressed area to create a single layer.

____________________________________________________________________

Flurries Combo

____________________________________________________________________

We couldn’t create with Flurries without having a combo series in the line up! Combo sets include both the dies and coordinating frame stamps.

Whether stamping or die cutting with flurries, they make great decorations, ornaments, and fab focal points for your holiday gift wrap! Here we die cut the large boxy flurry from a thin wood sheet for a DIY wood veener.

You can also see a pretty, glittered up version of the Flurries Combo (here).

 ____________________________________________________________________

Flurry Days

___________________________________________________________________

Create with decorative flurries to add interest and design details.

  • Flurry Days {$24}
  • Includes (9) stamps
  • Coordinates with the Flurries Combo

Snowflakes and flurries are true winter icons, and so are festive holiday sweaters! Have a little fun with your cards this year – you never know, that ugly sweater you were hiding in the back of the closet may just spark a little inspiration!

____________________________________________________________________

Flurry Days Sentiments

___________________________________________________________________

Celebrate the season with an assortment of holiday inspired sentiments.

A simple set of tags are easy to create with a classic, red and white color story and bold holiday sentiments. A background bar from Background Basics 4 was stamped along the top edge, and the open spaces were filled in with the petite snowflake in the sentiments set.

____________________________________________________________________

Partial Tag Dies

___________________________________________________________________

WARNING: this die will have you looking at stamps and dies in a whole new way! Don’t say we didn’t warn you. Partial tags are hands down our new favorite! What can you make with them you ask? Just about anything tag related you can think of…

  • Partial Tag Dies {$7}
  • Includes (4) pieces – two different styles of partial tags in two sizes
  • Creates partially cut tags

The process is quite simple…

Start by die cutting the partial tag. Next you can either stamp an image and fussy cut it out, or you can partially cut another die to fit the tag. If you choose to partially die cut, you will need to trim near the hanger portion of the tag. It’s that simple!

Here are a few examples of dies and stamps that we combined with the partial tag to create a series of tags:

Are you thinking of all the awesome ways you can use this new die?! It truly is a great addition to your CSS stash and just in time for the holidays.

Oh my do we love stripes! This bold, striped background in a soft and pretty pink set the stage for a Baby’s First Christmas gift.

The over-sized background covers the Party Favor 2 lid in one pass, and the Bow Trio: Mini comes together in a cinch due to our signature one-piece bow design.

____________________________________________________________________

Create a snapshot with these fun Polaroid Frame Dies. Included are two sizes, which works great in both small and large areas.

  • Polaroid Frame Dies {$22}
  • Includes (2) dies: small + large

Theses frames are very versatile! With a bit of clever die cutting you can quickly turn your frames into precious little tags, which will add such a personal touch to gift giving this year!

____________________________________________________________________

Alpha Wide

___________________________________________________________________

Create with a boxy, wide font for a modern design. Add interest with a few add-on images, and even create full sentiments.

  • Alpha Wide {$24}

  • Decorative stripes on vowels {aeiou}

Dress up your holiday cards with a decorative alphabet for fun, custom sentiments. Mix and match colors to play up the energetic vibe of the wide letters and add geometric icons for dimension.

____________________________________________________________________

Background Basics 4

___________________________________________________________________

This set offers (8) build-able background bars in graphic design styles that you will reach for time and time again. Images build top to bottom and left to right to create fabulous and seamless patterns.

  • Background Basics 4 {$24}
  • Includes (8) stamps
  • Each bar creates a seamless background that is repeatable on all four sides.

We can’t get enough of the Well Preserved Jars: Cocoa set.  When we think of warming up in the winter, not only does hot cocoa come to mind, but so do cozy sweaters and quilted blankets. The beautiful, repeating patterns in Background Basics 4 is the perfect match for a winter treat!

We started with die cutting a Pillow Box Liner and stamping two of the backgrounds in My Favorite Blue Jeans ink. Love that you can easily overlap and alternate to create a variety of designs.

A 2″ Clear Candy Bag packet of marshmallows and packet of hot chocolate are neatly placed inside the pillow box, with an cute cocoa jar tag and banner…”just add hot milk”.

____________________________________________________________________

Puzzle Die

___________________________________________________________________

Turn any crafty project into a puzzle. This die fits nicely into a standard A2 Envelope for easy mailing.

  • Puzzle Die {$16}
  • Includes (1) piece die
  • Assembles measures 4.25″ x 5.5″

If you love games, then this puzzle die will certainly get a workout in your craft room! In our family, we grew up on game night playing Scrabble, Yahtzee, Life, Monopoly, Uno, Crosswords, Where’s Waldo, Jenga, Trivial Pursuit…you name it, we played it!

But most of all we have lots of fond memories spent around figuring out jigsaw puzzles. This die cuts as one piece, with all the pieces still slightly connected.  This will allow you the ability to stamp, color, sponge, emboss – etc without having to keep up with all the pieces.

Once your puzzle is complete, you can tuck it into an A2 Envelope or you can break apart the pieces by hand or with scissors and place it into pretty packaging.

Since we are such a puzzle friendly family, it was only fitting to create a keepsake from my wedding to share with the hubby. Married in the Dominican Republic on a pier over the ocean, this was one of our favorite photos that was die cut to create a puzzle.

On the card two puzzle pieces were stamped with the heart image from Oh My Stripes in Dare to be a Diva Red ink. Each piece was outlined in a Multiliner Pen and a fun sentiment stamped below from Foodie Fun Sentiments.

A Clear Pillow Box holds all the pieces and a little polaroid tag with our picture. If you are wondering how the Polaroid Frame Die turned into the tag…be sure to check back this week – you will absolutely LOVE what’s to come!

COLLECTION 9: the Holiday Collection

(EDITED: click here for Day 2: Basics + Faves Series)

‘Tis the season for football and turkey, pie baking and cookie decorating, caroling and snowman making, and holiday celebrations!

Are you ready to unwrap the magic of the Clear and Simple Stamps Holiday Collection? We sure hope so! We are super excited to share our take on the holidays, with the reveal of an amazing series of our signature stamp sets and dies in Collection 9

We are kicking things off with the first series – Taste of the Season!

Ever walk by the kitchen the day before Thanksgiving? Instant joy, right?! The smell of fresh baked pies and cookies around the holidays start to fill the air. There is something wonderful about the holidays that can be tasted! It’s much more than the food and desserts…it’s the family and friends that come from near and far to create memories and traditions.

____________________________________________________________________

Party Elements: Tailgate

___________________________________________________________________

Get ready for the big game! Set the tone for your next tailgating party with football inspired invitations, favors, and more.

Have a football fan for your Secret Santa this year? Dress up stocking stuffers with a sporty tag in festive gift wrap.

Or create a simple set of game day tags that can be easily added to gift bags and packages.

 ____________________________________________________________________

Tablescapes: Tailgate

___________________________________________________________________

In our house we are major Football fans…by major we are talking face painting, high fives, and tailgating! Next to the superbowl, the OSU vs. Michigan game, the biggest football day of the year is Thanksgiving. And this Thanksgiving football + turkey are absolutely on the menu.

We’ve mentioned a time or two (dozen) that we are huge Buckeye fans.

With a by week, followed by the Illinois game there is plenty of time to prep for an OSU themed tailgating party – and it all starts with a fun and festive invite.

Creating the tablescape scene comes together in (5) simple steps:

  1. Stamp the football and create a mask
  2. Stamp the food/beverage image and create a mask
  3. Stamp the table cloth outline, filler image, and create a mask
  4. Stamp the table, remove all masks, and color with markers
  5. Stamp banner onto cloth, again onto cardstock, stamp letters, trim, and paper piece

–>TIP: save your masks and store them in your Stamp Storage Case. This way you can keep your masks with your stamp sets, and you can reuse them.

____________________________________________________________________

Pillow Box Liner Die

___________________________________________________________________

Love those Clear Pillow Boxes for creating quick and simple packaging? We’re releasing a liner die to make creating custom inserts super simple and fun. It makes creating favors a breeze. You can easily mass produce them and stuffing the boxes with treats can be a family friendly project!

Need a game night treat? Die cut a stash of pillow box liners, and create a mini field of sweets.

–>TIP: Die cut a variety of Pillow Box Liner Dies and keep a stash handy – it’s a great way to use up your designer papers and cardstock scraps. You never know when you will need to create a quick gift. There is always a neighbor that drops by or an extra dinner guest during the holidays, make sure you have the supplies for a gift on-the-go!

____________________________________________________________________

Well Preserved Jars: Cocoa

___________________________________________________________________

Now these cooler months do bring more than just football…we also welcome warm and tasty beverages. Most notably would be a yummy mason jar filled with rich hot cocoa.

One thing that is a definite during the holidays is a need for “Thank You” cards. We love the idea of cocoa in a jar as a great way send our warmest thanks!

____________________________________________________________________

Snack Bar

Gifting sweet treats this holiday?  Create with style by adding stamped labels, and food markers to create trendy snack bars.

Themed gifts are the way to go. This hot cocoa snack in a cup is a perfect holiday treat. Included is a clear tube of cocoa mix and a pillow box filled with miniature marshmallows, neatly tucked inside a ceramic mug with a knitted cozy.

The Clear Pillow Box is stamped with a fun new background (Oh My Stripes – also a new Collection 9 addition). And die cut using the Pillow Box Liner die. A fun tag was created and stamped with the sentiment from Snack Bar.

The cocoa tube has an adorable mug of hot cocoa for its tag. We used masking here to turn our mason jar into a mug filled with hot cocoa brimming with marshmallows and a peppermint stir stick using Well Preserved Jars: Large, Well Preserved Jars: Extras, Well Preserved Jars: Cocoa, and By the Glass.

Coffee Lover’s Cardmarking Kit

____________________________________________________________________

The File it Series speaks to our need to create, in what we like to call “organized chaos”! We love for every crafty tool and supply to have a place of it’s own, which often times tends to be right on our desks under mounds of paper, ink, stamps, dies, and more. On occasion, we like to have crafty days in the office that are simply spent creating for fun. We gather up a few supplies and block off a bit of time on the calendar to sketch out ideas and stamp without any interruptions.

We took a quick coffee run to our favorite Starbucks, which translates to any one of them within walking distance, to find our favorite fall beverage is in stores a little early.  Hello Pumpkin Spice Lattes! Hands down a crowd pleaser, that is until Gingerbread Latte season rolls into town, but we will cross that bridge when it gets here.

For now we are completely smitten with Pumpkin Spice Lattes, more affectionately known as PSL from here on out. So much so, that we crafted an entire cardmaking kit perfect for a Coffee Lover to create and pay a little homage to this tasty fall treat!

As you can see, we were very inspired by the CSS colors: Golden Tiara, Creamsicle Cardigan, and Espresso Your Style. And with a coffee theme, we immediately reached for the Morning Brew: Coffee series to create our own PSL papercrafted treat – minus the whip cream and pumpkin spice sprinkles.

It’s even packaged with a ribbon slider label using the Wrappers Die and File It: Stationery set.

To create this cardmaking kit a few essentials were created to help the recipient follow along and make each of the (5) cards that make up the kit.  These would be great to make for a classroom style stamp night, or to send to a crafty friend.

We started by die cutting and assembling a Stationery Filer from A Blanc Check cardstock.  Since we know this will be for a cardmarking kit, we also die cut just the wrap portion of the Stationery Filer from clear acetate to create a protective cover. It will be inverted and placed in the filer once all the contents have been added.

There are four main components to this cardmaking kit:

  • Details – the first tab houses all of the kits important information and directions – in this case that would mean card sketches, color combos with matching marker trios, and a brief project description

The sketches are easy to follow, and leave plenty of room for creative freedom!

And since there is a little bit of coloring involved, we thought it would be helpful to use the File It: Color set to include a few suggested marker colors that coordinate with the overall color combo.

  • Cards – this next tab holds the card bases and any layers for creating each card sketch. Do remember our Drink Recipe cards using the By the Glass set (here)? We updated the design to work for a Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe.  You can download the PDF (here) to create with right away.

Pair the card sketches with a card base for creating a simple set of coffee inspired cards.

  • Supplies – we pretty much LOVE the “Supplies” tab. We are often asked how we store our smaller dies, and we are happy to share this project so you can see first hand! You may have noticed that his divider looks different than all the rest…that is because we die cut the Stationery Organizer Divider from a magnetic sheet. We die cut another divider from chipboard and adhered it behind the magnetic sheet to give it stability – and it works like a charm.

We have several magnetic dividers in filers to store our smaller dies, and as you can see for this project, you can easily pull a few together to just have out the ones you need for your current project.

  • Envelopes – the last tab holds (5) A2 A Blanc Check envies. You could very easily add some pre-cut A2 Envie Liners to round out the kit.
  • Right in front we tucked away a few miscellaneous items: Espresso Your Style Ink, a clear block, and (5) postage stamps…after all we want you to share your handcrafted love of lattes with your family and friends!

If you are a lover of Pumpkin Spice Lattes like we are or cardmaking in general, creating Cardmaking kits is a great way to share your love of papercrafting! Create your own with a few new goodies from the new Collection 8 release…

Autumn Stationery Set

____________________________________________________________________

With the change in seasons upon us once again, it’s easy to be inspired by the warm colors of fall. We took our design cue from leafy trees and golden blooms of fall mums to inspire today’s fun project – a handmade, autumn stationery set.

The core of any stationery set starts with a card and matching envelope. With Autumn on the mind we reached for a definite CSS favorite – Fall Frenzy! Those puffy leaves mixed with the cute blooms creates a pretty image that will act as our stationery logo.

And what goes well with autumn flowers? Well, woodgrain of course. We stamped the woodgrain banner onto a coordinating die cut and adhere it to a stamped card base. The image on the base came from the Build-a-Wreath: Fall set. The tiny crow was added for a little fun detail.

For the envies, we created a little detail for each part. When you understand the anatomy of an envelope, it makes creating for them come together so quickly and is super fun.

How fab are those address labels?

The wide striped liner?

The imprinted envie flap?

The envie itself becomes a project all its own, and is definitely worth it! Once the card and envies have been designed, simply repeat until you have an entire card set.

We filled the Stationery Filer die with (10) notecards and matching envelopes. We wanted our filer to coordinate, and added a few decorative elements:

  • Wide stripes down the spine
  • leafy bloom logo,
  • and a framed out identifier tag

We love that this set of stationery can sit neatly on your desk and also double as office decor!

COLLECTION 8: Halloween Series

Come as you aren’t! Today we are celebrating Halloween a little early, with a fun holiday themed series. Spooky doesn’t have to be scary – in fact it, can be pretty fabulous with the new Halloween Series created for Collection 8

We love creating for the holidays – Halloween included! It must have something to do with the abundance of candy that floods the office and that dressing up in costumes is perfectly acceptable…sometimes even rewarded.

Whether hosting a scary event or handing out tricks and treats, this series has a fun mix of Halloween holiday designs.

This Halloween we are going spooky chic with fun labels and tags, that coordinate nicely with party invitation details for a frightfully fun night trick-or-treating!

  • Quotes IV {$26}
  • Includes (5) stamps
  • Poem excerpt from The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe

There is something spooky yet endearing about the poem The Raven. Create subtle backgrounds with a poem excerpt or add a bold raven image to your Halloween projects.

You will quickly fall in love with the new pinch-top style party favor.  A close relative to a milk carton, but with a shallower top to create a fun favor you can pinch to pick-up and go.  We love the sleek design and roomy interior for housing all sorts of special treats!

____________________________________________________________________

Halloween Treats

___________________________________________________________________

Trick-or-treating is such a fun past time. Its the one time of year when you get to choose costumes and collect candy in obscene amounts! So today we are sharing (4) fun ways to package up those sweet treats for gifting this holiday.

1. PAPER BAG GRAB BAG

We started by pulling a few supplies to create some spooky sweet packaging.

We love that with a few simple score lines, you can alter the Paper Sac bags to create a flat bottom gusset to hold packets of candy. We scored 1″ on three sides and opened out the sac to make it simple to create the new gusset bottom.

We stamped the bag with the Quotes IV background, filled it with candy, and sealed it closed. To dress up the bag, we added a fun hang tag stamped with the skeleton image and tied it off with a length of Orange You Fabulous Ribbon.

We added a wavy banner with a stamped sentiment to the tag. (We can’t wait to share more about the banners tomorrow!) And adhered the tag to the bag with a clothespin.

Simple closures work great for these types of treats…pretty sure you can count on one hand how long it takes for little hands to tear into each sac to see what candy goodness is waiting inside!

2. GLASSINE GOODIE BAG

From paper sacs to glassine bags, we kept out the Quotes IV background to create fun little, see-thru pouches for candy.

We purposely choose jelly beans that have a Halloween mix of orange, purple, black and bright green. We filled the stamped glassine bags with candy, wrapped them up in Orange You Fabulous Ribbon, and embellished with a “candy for you” hand tag.

And we certainly would not want to gift any candy that didn’t taste good – only a handful or two, or five were tested for quality control purposes. Let’s just say, this little bag of treats will not make it to the gift basket…a small casualty of designing with food on set.

3. SPOOKY SWEET TREAT JARS

Next we have a super simple, decorated candy jar.  We love that you can buy these little containers in bulk (from places likes Ikea or the Container Store) and can fill them with any type of candy you desire.  Here we used chocolate kisses.

By decorating the lids, the jars can easily be repurposed by the recipient once all the candy has gone. We simply stamped the Labels 8 (revealing tomorrow) die cut with the web image from Beware, added a sentiment banner, and a glittered spider. We like to think of that little guy as the keeper of the candy!

4. PARTY FAVOR 14 FUN

Lastly, we couldn’t wait to create a fun package using the new Party Favor 14. This pinch-top style box is quickly becoming a CSS favorite.

You can fold the sides in or out – we chose to fold them in for this project. We added a small slit along the top seam to wrap our ribbon around the favor like a band then embellished it with a popped up “witch’s brew” label.

With an overflow of goodies, a candy tube was filled with the extra treats and stamped with a single bat icon.

Halloween always seems to take a toll on our sweet tooth! Create your own assortment of tricks and treats with a few Clear and Simple Stamps goodies…

COLLECTION 8: Rag Dolls Series

How do you make learning fun? With adorable Rag Dolls, of course! Today we are thrilled to share the latest Rag Doll series in Collection 8 to add to your stash…

The Rag Dolls are gearing up for going back-to-school…and what a cute little schoolhouse they get to go to!  Each Rag Doll is paired with a writing utensil, a fun sentiment and a coordinating Rag Doll die.

We are not saying the Rag Doll’s are the teacher’s pet, but they sure do know how to show their appreciation for learning!

The Rag Doll school bus leads them all to an adorable place of learning, with ruler shutters, and pencil awnings!

Rag Doll Carlie is ready to make something great.

Rag Doll Jake loves to keep in touch with friends near and far.

You can find Mia getting crafty any day of the week.

Rag Doll Willa’s dream job is to work at Pantone, but for now she practices with crayons.

Rag Doll Wesley is looking forward sending lots of letters.

Rag Doll Emma can spend hours coloring.

Rag Doll Chloe truly does create art from the heart!

Teacher Gift Set

____________________________________________________________________

We love to celebrate Teachers! We come from a long line of teachers in our family and know exactly the kind of awesome impact a really good teacher can have on a student.

Being a teacher is a job that we just can’t say “thank you” enough! But we certainly will try, starting with a coordinating gift set that includes a journal, a sweet treat, and a few fun note cards that can be used throughout the year – after all, even teachers give other teachers gifts.

How cute is that Rag Doll Wesley tag?

We love this partial die cutting technique that can turn any die into a tag! We first featured this technique late last year (here) for adding a Rag Doll die as a holiday tag. This time we are creating a Rag Doll Wesley: Note tag for a fab teacher gift.

Once you unwrap the gift set, there are a pair of note cards. The first is a sweet little mini card. We are absolutely smitten with the heart center on that apple from the Perfect Harvest Fillers set, and the elementary style cursive sentiment.

Next is a standard, A2 cas-style card. The bold “teacher” sentiment creates such a strong focal point, that we kept the design simple with a stack of books from Rag Dolls: Scenes 1, and a subtle arrow background bar from Airmail to add a bit of movement.

We then created a fun journal stamped with the new Rag Doll House: School.

How darling are those pencil awnings, and ruler shutters? We just adore them, and our newly coveted motto from the Flashcards stamp set “listen.learn.grow.” – we even stamped it along the spine.

But no teacher gift would be complete without a sweet treat to eat! This project is very simple, and is perfect for including little helpers.

  1. To start melt an entire bag of candy melts in the microwave.
  2. Once melted, we added them to a plastic bag, cut the bottom corner, and used it to pipe the melted candy into the candy mold.
  3. Fill the letters needed to spell the teacher’s name
  4. Then tap the mold to get out any air bubbles
  5. Set candy mold in the refrigerator to set

Once you have the candy letters, you will want to package them. Melt a few more candy melts, pipe a small dot of melted candy onto the backside of the letters and place the candy into a box.  This will secure the candy into place, so that you can spell out your teacher’s name.

Combining sets in a series is such a fun way to create an entire themed gift set! Create your own teacher inspired gifts with the new Rag Dolls series…

COLLECTION 8: School Days Series

Lunch bags are packed and backpacks are brimming with school supplies, which signifies the start of a new school year has begun! With back-to-school underway, we are introducing a fun new series as part of today’s Collection 8 release reveal – the School Days series…

There are (2) super fun stamp sets that make up the School Days series, with an awesome assortment of possibilities! Create scrapbook page snapshots by combining the Flashcard Fillers with the label from Mini Tri-Fold 2. Document a first day of school, dress up class pictures, and/or create a series of learning tools with a bit of hand-stamped flair!

Document those special moments in life with a series of school themed images and sentiments.

Build on those special moments with fun backgrounds, a mix of frames and banners, along with icon images to add stamped embellishments.

____________________________________________________________________

Listen. Learn. Grow.

____________________________________________________________________

We love how seamlessly the sets in the School Days series work together. Flashcards and Flashcard Fillers are sure to be a “go-to” favorite when creating for school themed projects.

How could we resist that adorable beanstalk image?! It instantly became the focal point for our card and flashcard set.

Framed out with the Curly Label Frames 1 image, we masked the beanstalk to add in a subtle grid background – a simple way to add interest to a single layer card.

Just like an image in a storybook, we added a bit of color with our Copic markers and the image seemed to come to life. A sweet little apple from Perfect Harvest Too was added at the base of the beanstalk, to continue our school theme.

We added the sentiment “listen. learn. grow.” to encourage learning! When school is fun, you love to learn.

Learning can come in many different forms, and flashcards are a great tool for learning. Here we created a “learn to count” set of flashcards.

A coordinating cover was stamped and numbered pages followed using the Large Print Numbers dies.

Each numbered flashcard is followed by a stamped version to help practice counting. We love using stamps to build out the images for little ones to count on each page.

You can easily switch out the pages to include alphabets, spelling words, colors, and more. Create your own fun flashcards with a few CSS stamps and dies:
