Style Watch

I. Love. Fonts. When it’s all said and done, I think I will have spent at least a year of my life playing around with fonts. I can’t help myself. Current stationery trends (especially on Pinterest) are heavy on the use of engraved fonts and fonts inspired by hand-lettering.

I’m sharing another “from pin to paper” project in today’s issue of Style Watch. I’m inspired by the beautiful engraved fonts and showing you how to use your Uppercase Alphabet dies to create the look yourself…

As far as I’m concerned, Alpha Monogram should win “Stamp Set of the Year.”  I may be slightly biased, since I love to slap a monogram on just about everything…which is exactly why I’m excited about today’s post.

I’m sharing another “from pin to paper” project. Back when Alpha Monogram launched, the CSS blog featured a monogram soap project (here) which I absolutely loved! Today, I’m bringing you a holiday version of this project…

Style Watch

Buy or DIY? Ever since the release of the Clear & Simple Stamps Craftization Series of stamp sets and dies, I’ve been on a mission to get my craft room in order. I’d be silly to think that this place will ever be in perfect order, but I’ve found that a few projects here and there go along way toward making me a more efficient crafter.

For today’s post and for the next few Style Watch editions, I’ll be sharing a few “from pin to paper” projects – I love that stamp in the File It: DIY set! Clear and Simple Stamps is encouraging crafters to take a Pinterest photo and give it a DIY twist, which is exactly what today’s fun project is all about…

Style Watch: Card Creation Station

__________________________________________________________________________________

If you are an avid card-maker, I hope that today’s simple project will inspire you.

I’ve found that having a good stash of pre-cut and pre-scored cards is great for saving time when I sit down to my crafting table. With that in mind, I used the Stationery Filer die to create a trio of boldly colored files for organizing my most used paper supplies.

Scroll down for a list of supplies used to create today’s SW edition, then visit me at Damask Love for more photos and tips for assembling a card making station of your own.

Square Fruit Treat

___________________________________________________________________

We saw this awesome photo by Geof Kern on pinterest, and fell in love with the idea of square fruit! It’s such a fun and whimsical way to represent simple, everyday items.

The apple image spoke to us the most, especially with the school year underway. Wouldn’t it be fun to gift teachers with square apple treats?!

Party Favor 14 was our go to favor for creating this square fruit treat. It had the perfect foundation needed for holding a treat inside and keeping with the square shape from the inspiration.

We used the Fruit Applique 1 dies to recreate the apple stem and leaves. The core seeds were stamped using the Taglines: Little Critters stamp set.

Our favorite part is the cute little Tags 3 tag that reads “Apple Treats”! Such a simple and fun treat.

With a few Clear and Simple Stamps dies, you can easily create your own supply of square fruits for gifting.

We would love to see if you make a project “From Pin to Paper”….
