Clear and Simple Stamps | Sweet as Pie Stationery

Clear and Simple Stamps | Sweet as Pie Stationery

Sweetest Day is the perfect excuse to indulge in all things sweet! For us, that translated into papercrafting sweet treats over the weekend by way of adorable pie themed stationery to celebrate the occasion. We’ve mentioned a time or two before that we celebrate all holidays big or small, especially the foodie ones – so Sweetest Day was the perfect excuse to get in the studio and create a little something cute! Who doesn’t love a good flaky crust filled with sweet fruit and served á la mode with a scoop of old fashioned vanilla ice cream? To save ourselves from the serious calories associated with eating pie for breakfast, lunch, and dinner we opted for a cute, calorie-free version of stamped stationery.

Clear and Simple Stamps | Rag Doll: Tea Party Extras Stamp Set

Enter the Rag Doll: Tea Party Extras stamp set! We love all the images and sentiments that come in every Rag Doll stamp set. It makes them so versatile and easy to mix and match with other stamp sets. Here we chose the adorable mini pie images to create with for our sweet stationery set.

Clear and Simple Stamps | Sweet as Pie Stationery

We certainly kept things simple with this fun pair of cards. We easily created a custom sentiment with a fun play on words that was a perfect fit for this project. We used a mix of the Alpha Thin dies and a stamped sentiment from the Party Elements: BBQ stamp set. While we choose “sweet as pie” you could very simply change around the sayings to make it work for a variety of foodie inspired occasions!

We used the Good Vibes Only stamp to create a set of Ombré note cards. You’ll love how easy it is to layer ink for a fun way to add color to your sentiments.

Clear and Simple Stamps | Good Vibes Only - Stamp of the Month

Gather up a few of your favorite CSS Hybrid Ink pads in a similar color family, so that you can create a pretty gradient of ombré color. We started by inking the stamp in the lightest of the three ink colors. Next we lightly dabbed the middle shade of ink on the bottom 2/3rds of the stamp, and finally inking the bottom in the darkest ink color. Read more

Clear and Simple Stamps | #Latte Stationery - coffee note cards

Clear and Simple Stamps | #Latte Stationery - coffee note cardsWe live on 3-5 cups of coffee per day as a standard baseline amount of caffeine to usher us through the day. Some days we up the ante and double up for added creative fuel…after all that’s what coffee is to crafters, right?!

Pair our love of coffee with the Coffee Lover’s Blog – a sweet blog dedicated to nothing but getting creative with coffee and sharing a mega giveaway, has us brewing with excitement.

Clear and Simple Stamps | Coffee Lover's Blog Hop Super SponsorWe started thinking about a few of our favorite lattes and wanted to create a pretty set of stationery using their ingredients in a fun way. And let us tell you, there’s a latte fun packed into today’s project! Oh yes, the coffee puns will certainly be in full effect throughout – consider yourself warned.

Clear and Simple Stamps | #Latte Stationery - coffee note cardsTo get started, we decided to break out a brand new set of dies to create our stationery set. The Thin Alpha Series of dies are a beautiful set of upper- and lowercase alphabets, numbers, and symbols in a sleek, thin, type style. We love the slim look of the letters and they coordinate perfectly with the word dies from the Beverage Wrappers die set. They are so pretty and modern you will quickly add this set of dies to your CSS Faves – they are available in the store starting today!

Clear and Simple Stamps | Thin ALpha Series Dies - $16.00 available at www.clearandsimplestamps.comWe’ll share a helpful tip – cut full bars of your letters and store your extras to use for later projects.  You will love having a collection of pretty letters readily available. We turned our letters into stickers so that we could easily attach our words to our card panels.  With a quick run through our Xyron machine, we had a complete alphabet of stickers ready to go.

Clear and Simple Stamps | #Latte Stationery - coffee note cardsHaving the words left aligned on the card panel created the perfect spot to stamp a to-go coffee cup image from the Morning Brew: Coffee stamp set. A bit of simple coloring with a mix of warm and neutral gray markers and a stamped coffee cozy for each flavor created a fun focal point on each card.  But we weren’t finished until we stamped a signature green stir stick at the top of the cup and hand wrote cute latte hashtags with a fine tip black pen: #caramelmacchiato, #mochalatte, #eggnoglatte. Wouldn’t the #EggnogLatte make a great holiday card?

Clear and Simple Stamps | #Latte Stationery - coffee note cardsWith stationery, comes envelopes and we are serious about making them standout. We keep a few A4 Envie Liners cut so that we can easily stamp and go. For this project the Coffee Pots background stamped in GY-03 | Pressed Greige Linen ink creates a beautiful and subtle pattern against the BR-01 | Dish All the Dirt Brown A4 Envelopes. Now all that’s left is to do is go grab a cup of coffee before we start on our next project!

Clear and Simple Stamps | #Latte Stationery - coffee note cardsWe’d love to know your favorite coffee flavors or lattes. Take a coffee break from crafting and share with us on Instagram. Then be sure to check back in with the Coffee Lover’s Blog for for all the hop details, to play along, and/or enter in your chance to win one of the amazing giveaways. (Hint, hint…there may be a few CSS goodies up for grabs)…

Clear and Simple Stamps | Stamping Patterned Envie Liners

Clear and Simple Stamps | Stamping Patterned Envie LinersJust when you thought stationery couldn’t get any cuter, along comes the Cute as a Bug Collection! Typically you think of using your stamps to create a specially crafted card, but this time we are using them to make fun patterns and dress up envelopes.

We paired our Cute as a Bug Collection with our A4 Envie Liners to stamp up fun designs for a playful surprise. Each A4 Envie Liner was die cut from our A Blanc Check gift wrap, to create a light weight liner for inside the envelopes.

Here is a look into how each style came together so you can create a fun set of Cute as a Bug Envie Liners of your own:

WALK THE LINE

We love that these little snails are all headed in the same direction in an orderly fashion. Your eye follows their movement across the envie liner as they deliver your snail mail!

Clear and Simple Stamps | Stamping Patterned Envie LinersFollow these simple steps to create a Walk the Line liner:

  1. Die cut an A4 Envie from A Blanc Check Gift Wrap.
  2. Draw horizontal lines with a pencil and ruler.
    • (TIP: we measured the size of the stamp, then drew the lines to match the size for equal spacing between rows.)
  3. Stamp rows of snails in Perfect Little Black Dress ink.
  4. Erase lines, and color with markers.
  5. Adhere liner to color coordinating A4 Envelope.

POLKA DOT FUN

Polka dots are a classic and timeless pattern that every designer has in their toolbox. For these envies, we created with a fun play on a traditional design element repeating the sentiment circle as a polka dot pattern.

Clear and Simple Stamps | Stamping Polka Dot Patterned Envie LinersFollow these simple steps to create a Polka Dot Fun liner:

  1. Die cut an A4 Envie from A Blanc Check Gift Wrap.
  2. Draw grid with pencil and ruler.
  3. Stamp circle sentiment using CSS Hybrid Ink onto grid to fill liner.
  4. Erase grid lines.
  5. Adhere liner to color coordinating A4 Envelope.

LADYBUG CONFETTI

We went for a bit of free flowing fun with this random pattern of ladybug cuteness. By stamping in a mix of directions, these little darlings are scattered throughout the liner like cute bits of confetti.

Clear and Simple Stamps | Stamping Patterned Envie LinersFollow these simple steps to create a Ladybug Confetti liner:

  1. Die cut an A4 Envie from A Blanc Check Gift Wrap.
  2. Stamp ladybug image onto liner in Perfect Little Black Dress ink in a random pattern.
  3. Fill in any empty spaces with more stamped ladybug images.
  4. Color images with markers.
  5. Adhere liner to color coordinating A4 Envelope.

Clear and Simple Stamps | One in a Minion (diy) #minions

Clear and Simple Stamps | One in a Minion (diy) #minionsAssemble the Minions – it’s a party! A paper party in the craft room, because we are making the cutest A3 mini notes that even Gru and Dr Nefario would approve of.

You can pretty much guess that the new Minions movie prompted this fun DIY. We headed to the closest theater, grabbed a bucket of popcorn and proceeded to do thorough research. Who says crafting isn’t a fun job?!

Clear and Simple Stamps | One in a Minion (card + favor) #minionsTo create these Minion inspired mini notes, we picked out a few dies from our CSS stash and started cutting. Since these little guys have a fairly basic shape it was super easy to pull together the pieces using the Shapes: Circles combo set (similar to how we made these super fun Emoji Mini Notes). The trickiest part is creating the goggle frames for each Minion, but we have a simple tip to share that will turn you into a goggle making machine!

Clear and Simple Stamps | One in a Minion (diy goggles) #minionsThe Minions have a signature look to them that just screams adorable. Seriously, they never speak a word you can understand…well, except for “banana”. So how could we resist creating with such a fun color story? And of course, bananas were definitely a must.

Clear and Simple Stamps | One in a Minion (color story) #minionsWith our colors in place we started creating a set of note cards. Your Style Blue Me Away envelopes were cut from the A3 Envie die, and a matching liner stamped with Say Yellow to All Your Fans stripes from the Designer Lines stamp set. There is something about stripes and polka dots that will never go out of style – Designer Lines is by far a CSS Fave and a major “go-to” stamp set.

Clear and Simple Stamps | One in a Minion (A3 Stationery Die Set) #minionsThese envies set the stage for the star of the show – the Minion mini card! We love that every Minion has such personality, so we had fun with creating a different look for each card.

Clear and Simple Stamps | One in a Minion (mini note cards #minionsKeeping in the spirit of watching movies, it’s only right that we have coordinating movie snacks…Minion style! What does that mean exactly? Enter cute Party Favor 10 containers of buttery banana popcorn – a little salty snack mixed in with a few sweet banana candy treats.

Clear and Simple Stamps | One in a Minion (banana popcorn favors) #minionsWe took a hint from the “G” monograms on the Minions overalls, and translated it into a Minion monogrammed ticket clipped to each popcorn container.

These fun munchies paired with equally cute note cards are certainly one in a Minion!

Clear and Simple Stamps | Tasty Treat Tags #nationalicecreammonth

Clear and Simple Stamps | Tasty Treat Tags #nationalicecreammonthWhat happens when you cross a relaxing Sunday afternoon with National Ice Cream Day…a Sundae Funday!

That’s right, we enjoyed a day of creating in the craft room over the weekend. And we whipped up a super cute ice cream inspired project to celebrate a sweet moment – National Ice Cream month. With this no calorie option, we absolutely love that stamping and coloring our favorite flavors won’t require an extra trip to the gym this week!

Clear and Simple Stamps | Tasty Treat Tags #nationalicecreammonth - craft your flavor with the Foodie Fun stamp setBesides, creating sets of tags is pretty much a ritual around here. There is always a reason to dress up a gift bag or add a nice touch to wrapped gifts without taking up too much time and still making the recipient feel extra special.
Clear and Simple Stamps | Tasty Treat Tags #nationalicecreammonth - craft your flavor with the Foodie Fun stamp setSo in honor of a papercrafting diet that allows us to create any and every treat possible without gaining a pound, we are reaching for the Foodie Fun stamp set, Tags 1 Combo, and a few other supplies to create a sweet set of tags.

With a mix of warm, summery colors each tag comes to life with an assortment of fun messages – it means a lot when you love someone more than ice cream, right?!
Clear and Simple Stamps | Tasty Treat Tags #nationalicecreammonth - craft your flavor with the Foodie Fun stamp setEach tag starts with the same Foodie Fun ice cream cone image, and with a bit of creative coloring we’re serving up a medley of flavors.

That’s really the best part about ice cream – there are so many yummy choices. We had fun recreating our favorites on paper and adding them to our stash of tags. Visit us on Instagram and tell us your favorite flavors…

Clear and Simple Stamps | Mini Metallics Jotters

Clear and Simple Stamps | Mini Metallics JottersWith the change in seasons also comes the need to change over our desk accessories.  With a few swatches of rose gold foil, our Simple Adhesive sheets, and A Blanc Check cardstock, we are turning plain old notepads into chic office jotters.

Oh yes, when you upgrade your office supplies you can rename them with fancy titles – so goodbye boring notepad….hello, mini metallic jotter!

Clear and Simple Stamps | Mini Metallic Jotters - suppliesWhat we love most about office supply makeovers, are that it takes relatively no time at all to make a big impact.

To create these mini metallic jotters we simply:

  1. Cut A Blanc Check cardstock into 3″ x 10.25″ strips of cardstock, and score each cardstock strip at 5″ and 5.25″.
  2. Remove backing from Simple Adhesive and apply to front of cardstock panel on an angle.
  3. Trim Simple Adhesive flush to the panel on all sides, then remove the backing.
  4. Lay rose gold foil onto the adhesive (shiny side up), smooth to make sure it’s adhered, then peel off.
  5. Add Simple Adhesive strips to the back of the notepad and secure to the inside flap of the cardstock panel.

Clear and Simple Stamps | Mini Metallic Jotters DIYWe chose to make a trio of jotters using a mix of soft, neutral colored cardstocks and a simple geometric angle for our foiling design.

Clear and Simple Stamps | Mini Metallic Jotters - trio of colors in the storeYou can easily dress these up to color coordinate by switching out the cardstock and or the color of foil. Have fun creating pieces to match your workspace – who says functional can’t also be super cute?!
