Stamp of the Month Details
How adorable is that tiny leaf image? Don’t be afraid to cut apart your set to make it even more versatile. Share your creativity – we’d love to see how you use your new Stamp of the Month mini set. Hashtag your projects with #lovemyCSS so we can find you. Here’s a peek at a few crafty projects we made inside the CSS studio.
#Grateful Gift Bags
Quite often we find ourselves in need of pretty packaging, and one of our favorite options is to stamp directly onto a muslin bag. We love the hand stamped look and it adds so much character to any gifted item that you place inside. Since we are crafty girls at heart, we felt it would be fun to gift a simple stamping kit that includes: this fun stamp set, an N-02 ink pad, and a clear block. Creating this kit is such a great way to share our love for stamping with others during the holidays.
Stamping directly onto muslin fabric gives your stamped images a slightly worn and faded appearance. While the stamping appears light, you will want to place a sheet of paper inside the bag before stamping to prevent any bleeding through the fabric that may happen when making your impression.
This is a great project to create for fun place setting favors. We adorned each bag with a simple #grateful tag, which is perfect to use this Thanksgiving. Who doesn’t love a good hashtag for the holidays!
The holidays are meant for snacking! We might as well call it Snacksgiving, right? Instead of only filling up on turkey, stuffing and apple pie we decided to create a healthy snack that we wouldn’t feel guilty about post holiday. These tasty treats are great to hand out before or after dinner as a simple munchie to hold over until the next round of good eats gets underway.
The Toppers combo set is perfect for crafting favors, and a definite must have for your CSS stash! We just love it, and pretty much use it for every holiday or special occasion. We die cut a series of toppers from N-01 | A Blanc Check cardstock, then stamped them in an ombré mix of CSS hybrid ink colors using the November Stamp of the Month. We made certain that the tiny leaf stamped above the score line. We then used an exacto knife to trim out the tiny leaf to create a fun pop-up element when the topper is folded and adhered to the treat bag. Each treat bag is filled with trail mix – a simple treat that is also festive for a fun occasion.
Thanksgiving is that time of year that has you pause and reflect on everything you are grateful for in your life. We urge you to give thanks well beyond one special day, and share a simple note of gratitude to someone special. It can be a picture, a significant memory, a handmade card, or any form of thank you. Make it extra special by dressing up your envelopes with a pretty embossed sentiment on the envie flap. Its a subtle touch that will certainly warm someone’s heart, and make their day!
Creating embossed envelopes is a fun project that comes together in minutes. We prepped each envie flap with an embossing buddy (which is essentially corn starch). We do this so that the embossed imaged comes out crisp and clean. Once the envies are prepped we stamped the sentiment in N-00 | From an Anonymous Source ink then sprinkled on gold embossing powder. We used a heat tool to set the powder to create the gold embossed finish – it’s a lovely way to make your envelopes really shine.
The holiday countdown has begun, and we have lots of exciting new goodies to share throughout this joyous season. Let’s just say with only 31 sleeps left until Christmas, we have quite a bit of crafting to share with you. Be sure to come back and join us inside the studio often!
