Since the word “emoji” has officially scored a permanent spot in the dictionary its only fitting to embrace its cuteness and make card in its honor. After all, we papercrafters like to express our feelings through creating. Now we can share our emojions – literally! (Oh yea, btw the emoji puns are almost more fun than making the emoji minis themselves…consider yourself forewarned.)
In case you are new to the universal Emoji lingo born from text messaging, or if you are an avid emoji user – we’ve created a fun pin board [here] to share a few of our fave emoji inspired projects out in blogland…and a handy decoder. After all it’s only fun when you actually know what they mean, right?!
We picked out a few emojis that we use often to make a set of note cards. With a few creative uses of our CSS dies, we easily recreated each look.
This is a true diy project that you can whip up in a matter of minutes with our Shapes Series and you are guaranteed to giggle a bit while you create your emoji of choice. But what makes these notes extra cute are their 2.5″ round miniature size (layered onto a 3″ square card) that fits perfectly inside an adorable A3 envie.
Each envie is die cut from our gift wrap. We love the lighter weight for creating envelopes and they color coordinate with our full color line of inks and cardstock! The A3 Envie Stationery die includes the liner die that we simply cut from a contrasting color of gift wrap and adhered to the inside of the flap. The bright color blocked envies add even more personality to each Emoji note card set.
Slip one of these notes in a coat pocket, tuck one in a keyboard, or hand deliver a smile. It’s okay to get emojional, that’s the best part…
