Apothecary Inspiration

____________________________________________________________________

Candy corns are a Halloween staple.  Did you know it even has its own holiday…National Candy Corn Day, celebrated on October 30th. So in honor of this outrageously sweet treat (with absolutely no nutritional value what-so-ever) we created a spooky sweet scene and a fun themed cupcake wrapper.

We started by stamping the sentiment from Sweet Sentiments onto the card panel. We then stamped the jars to fill up the area. Each apothecary jar is stamped with a filler image. A Favor Flags banner was die cut and stamped with a sentiment from Sweet Sentiments:Holidays.

For the candy corn cupcake wrapper, we simply layered the two die cut wrappers to create the orange and yellow layer of the candy corn.  The wrapper holds a vanilla cupcake with white frosting to serve as the point of the candy corn.

A fun twist on a basic cupcake, and just in time for National Candy Corn Day!

Love the costumes for the Critters! And despite my best efforts to resist the apothecary jars, with the addition of this new set, I am getting weaker. LOL! I love it all! 🙂

The Ugly Dolls are inspired. Very creative, out of the box thinking. But I also love the idea of dressing up the adorable critters! Great idea, building on a past release (one of my favorites to begin with).
