Tags + Toppers + Edgers + Borders Inspiration

It’s drawing near the end of summer, and we can’t help ourselves but think about fall. Today we are sharing a sweet treat that is perfect for gifting around Halloween.

The Party Favor 2 box base fits a set of (12) wrapped nuggets perfectly stacked in two rows. Each nugget has a label that was stamped with the polka-dot frame from the Wrap-a-Round set in a classic, spooky-chic, Orange You Fabulous ink color.

For the fun tag, we die cut both layers from the Tags 2 die from A Blanc Check cardstock. The tag panel is stamped with a Trendy Tags 2 image in Perfect Little Black Dress ink and a stacked sentiment in Orange You Fabulous ink. A little spider was stamped and a line drawn by hand to turn this tag into a scary sweet tag. Fun small details can turn a simple tag into a fun way to dress up sweets for your trick-or-treaters.

But we couldn’t stop there! Nope…we took one look at the new Tags 2 die and saw so many super cute ways to dress up your tags.

How about a pumpkin, or an apple, or better yet a friendly Frankenstein? The possibilities are huge for transforming tag dies into mini works of cutesy art.

The Grass Border die was used to cut a strip of grass. We then laid it onto a panel of Orange You Fabulous cardstock. We then die cut the tag panel layer as one piece.  This will allow for your grass and tag layer to match perfectly. The curved lines were stamped in Orange You Fabulous ink using the straight line image from Party Elements: Baby that was slightly curved on our clear block. A strip of Kraft Like a Rockstar cardstock was stamped with the woodgrain background from Background Basics 1. A stem was cut free-hand from the woodgrain panel, a leaf, and vine were adhered to the top of the tag panel.

A similar concept was used here on the apple tag.  We die cut the Fence Border die from A Blanc Check cardstock, and adhered it to a panel of Dare to be a Diva red cardstock. A leaf and stem were added, and a highlight with white gel pen.

And we had fun with this cute little Frankenstein. The hair is from the Grass Border die cut from Perfect Little Black Dress cardstock, adhered to a Green with Envy cardstock panel. We stamped the mouth using the Tags 2 frame stamps that come as part of the combo set. The eyes were cut using the eyes from the Build-a-Critter: Bat/Bee.

You may notice that the curved portion of the Tags 2 die is technically the bottom of the tag.  With a small cut you can easily replace the hole towards the top and adhere another tag over top of the backside to give it a polished look.

Can you see the possibilities? We seriously {heart} this fun tag!
