It’s an exciting time at Clear and Simple Stamps, as today marks the start of a new release! We are kicking off the previews with a look at new shapes and labels from Collection 3

A Sweet Treat

We are super excited to introduce you to the newest addition to the CSS line up of shapes…the triangle.

At first glance you may see a simple, three-sided, geometric shape, but there is so much more than what meets the eye. In the new Triangle Trinkets stamp set, you will find an assortment of icons that can be built from an adorable triangle. This set also coordinates with the sentiment set Trinket Sentiments – it truly is perfect for holidays and all sorts of fun occasions.

Triangles Plus is a background builder set filled with {6} triangle bars, and {18} single decorative triangle options for creating geometric patterns and designs. For today’s project we used two single triangles combined to created one fun background pattern.

Our focal point is an ice cream cone.  We stamped the triangle image onto the die cut Labels 9, masked the top and stamped the button scoop.  You have the choice to color in your image or stamp the color. We chose a mix of both.  The Labels 9 border and ice cream cone was colored in with Copic markers.  We added the waffle cone pattern with the markers to give it a little extra detail.

And since we are talking geometric patterns and shapes, we can’t leave out the uber trendy hexagon. After all, six triangles can be easily arranged to create a hexagon – it’s a match made in heaven!

The hexagon series includes {2} background builder sets: Hexagons Plus and Mini Hexagons. In addition to the backgrounds builders, there is also a Shapes: Hexagons – a die cut/stamp set combo. Each are unique sets that offer a ton of creative options.

And there is more! Not only will you find triangles and hexagons in Collection 3, but you will also find coordinating frame stamps for Labels 9, like the one used on today’s card, and frames for a brand new Labels 11. A sweet treat indeed. What fun way to build a background. The icecream cone is so darling. I love that you made a trio of colorful cards. The white pen detail is brilliant!
