A hunting we will go…for bright colored Easter eggs of course! We love spring, not just for the longer days and warmer weather, but for the kid inside of us who gets to come out and play during the Easter holiday…

Egg Hunt Favors

Since Easter is only a little over a week away, we wanted to share a fun favor idea for an egg hunt.  You can create these little treats for your neighbors, teachers, or church youth groups.

We started with a plain white, mini lunch bag and partially die cut the Border: Fence die to create a white picket fence bag. We then wrapped the bag with A Blanc Check ribbon and filled the inside with a little shredded paper filler.

Next we die cut a label from A Blanc check cardstock using the Labels 4 Combo set, and stamped a coordinating border in Perfect Little Black Dress ink. We masked the edges of the label and stamped the egg cart image from the Cart Pals: Occasions set.

The eggs were also masked to repeat stamping to fill in the label with eggs. A butterfly was stamped, colored in with markers, cut out, and adhered to the label with dimensionals. A simple sentiment was stamped to complete the label in Perfect Little Black Dress ink.

Inside the favor bag is a set of egg dyes packaged in a glassine envelope tied closed with Orange/White twine, one egg, a clear wax crayon to create designs, and a wand for dipping. The crayon was decorated with a stamped strip of cardstock with the butterfly background image from the Playroom set.

Each little Egg Hunt favor is a fun, interactive Easter treat equipped with all the basics tools to dye a special Easter egg.  All you will need to do is just add water…

Group Project: Color Me Orange

With each month, comes a fun new challenge that is presented to the design team. This month features projects that showcase the 2012 color of the year with Orange inspired projects. Color Me Orange: Love You Bunches

We had fun making today’s orange inspired card. We wanted to use the new Cart Pals: Occasions set in a fun way. We started by stamping the the floral image and then free hand drew the stems with a black multiliner pen. We followed along the pen lines with a green Copic marker down to the bottom of the image panel.

For that fun little butterfly, we stamped the outline butterfly image in Perfect Little Black Dress ink.

Next we added freehand drawn circles with a black multiliner pen.

Then filled in the areas around the circles with the black pen to complete the butterfly for added interest to the card.

Whew, what a release….and there is still a little more good news to share!  Our new packaging is officially here.  Starting today, all Clear and Simple Stamp sets will be packaged in clear dvd cases.  They will arrive carefully hand-packaged, labeled and completely assembled for you.

If you are looking to switch your personal stash of clear and/or cling stamps to clear dvd cases we have empty cases available for purchase – quantity 5 empty cases for $7.
