Fruit of the Spirit Tissue Candle

____________________________________________________________________

With the Thanksgiving holiday right around the corner, we wanted to share a project that would be a perfect host/hostess gift.  You’ll need a small list of supplies:

  1. a heat gun
  2. tissue paper
  3. CSS Hybrid ink
  4. Fruit of the Spirit stamp set

Once you have gathered your supplies, your custom stamped candles will come together in no time at all.

The trick here is not to stamp directly onto the candle, but instead you will stamp the Fruit of the Spirit subway print in Dish All the Dirt Brown ink onto tissue paper. Trim the tissue paper down to fit the surface area of the candle. And simply heat the tissue paper with a heat gun.

While heating the area with the tissue paper, you will notice that the tissue becomes translucent as the wax creates a thin film over top. Be careful not to over heat. We suggest small bursts of even heat to prevent the wax from running.

Add a candle holder to create a simple and crafty gift for the holidays.

Try different colors, or even heat emboss for more options. Here is our tissue paper candle heat embossed in red. Emboss your tissue paper first by stamping the image in From an Anonymous Source ink, then follow the same steps outlined above.
