This release has such an amazing inventory of fabulous new products, that we are making each release day item available to you as soon as you see it. That’s right, each day during our release week we will be adding brand new products to the store. Our new collection consists of (9) different series, and today we are taking a closer look at Rag Dolls…

Collection 5: Guest Designer

Not only are we excited to share with you all the new Rag Doll goodies, but we also have another fun announcement as we welcome Audrey Tokach as our special guest for this release.  We are delighted to share a bit about Audrey and welcome her as our CSS Guest Designer…

There is no secret that Audrey LOVES Rag Dolls.  Just take a visit over to her blog: Pink Ink Originals, and you will see tons of inspiration.  We loved seeing her creative designs in the CSS Flickr gallery, that we couldn’t resist asking her to join in on the Rag Doll release day fun!

Audrey is a stay-at-home mom to two beautiful boys, ages 10 & 8. She has been happily married to her wonderful husband, Drew, for 11 years. She currently lives in Florida, though she will always consider the Philadelphia suburbs home. Audrey has been papercrafting since 2001, which she started as a scrapbooker. That all changed in 2009, when she was introduced to the wonderful world of stamping…

Here is a signature Audrey card that we love:

Rag Doll Inspiration

With all the new Rag Doll sets you can easily mix and match to create fun scenes.

We masked our Rag Doll Willa to create a spooky fun scene.

To create the scene we masked in this order:

  1. Stamp the word “boo” – create a mask. (TIP: cut out centers of letter)
  2. Stamp Rag Doll Willa: OMG and color.
  3. Stamp broom on top of rag doll as a guide.
  4. Stamp broom again, color, trim, and adhere to image. (TIP: We wanted her arm to rest on top of the broom, so we simply stamped her arm again, colored, cut out, and adhered right on top – to keep the layers flat, we cut the broom where the arm is and inlaid the separate arm so that it would be level.)
  5. Stamp bats from Apothecary: Holidays over sentiment.
  6. Stamp hat, color band, trim, and adhere to rag doll.

We also created a sweet little treat of color coordinated M&M’s packaged in our Clear Pillow Boxes, with a bit of ribbon and a fun polka dot tag to match.
