{OLD BAY POPCORN FAVORS}

Being a Maryland based company, you learn to have an affinity for certain things – like a signature Maryland crab cake. And the number one key ingredient to a good crab cake is Old Bay Seasoning. A big trend in wedding planning these days is to have favors that showcase a little bit about where the couple is from originally.  So we decided for today’s project we would post a fun, Maryland-inspired favor – a DIY Old Bay Popcorn Favor.

To start you will need just a few simple supplies:

Spoon a tbsp of popcorn kernels into the mini lunch bag, and add a few pinches of Old Bay seasoning to give it that signature Maryland flavor.

Be sure to keep the kernels on the bottom fold of the bag.

Next fold the top flap of the bag down 3-4 times. (This part will unroll just a bit while the kernels are popping.)

Decorate the popcorn bag with a Wrappers label stamped with a lovely collage image from the Seaside stamp set. A small thank you from the Party Elements: Baby set was added just behind the wrapper. And finally secure it on the popcorn bag with a little bit of True Blue Fan ribbon.  This way it is easy for your guests to slide off when they get home or back to their hotel rooms to pop up a little snack.

To heat, simply place the popcorn bag with the folds facing up in a microwave for 1 minute. (Time may vary on each microwave.) Once fully popped you will have a perfect single serve, snack-sized, bag of freshly popped popcorn with a reminiscent taste of Maryland!
