By the Glass Inspiration

We couldn’t let you stop by on release day without a little eye candy!

We absolutely LOVE how quickly sweet gifts can come together with all the new product in this release. Who doesn’t love a color coordinated beverage to match an invitation to a happy hour get together?

While the design is simple, we like to add those small details that really do make a difference.  Here we took a Copic marker from our Toner Trio 3 (T7) and added some shading to each silhouette image. Then on the opposite side to imply a glare we added a hint of white gel pen.  These quick steps give the image a bit of interest and depth.

A little tag embellishment was tied on with coordinating ribbon and twine. If you are a fan of Tags 1 + Trendy Tags….this is a sneak peek into fab sequel set: Tags 2. We will showcase more of the tags later this week!

It’s 5 o’clock somewhere right? We have had our eye on that Watermelon Margarita mix the whole time!

Cocktail parties are always fun.  You get to meet new people and make new friends. And as the night goes on, the stories you hear become more and more interesting! We wanted to create a fun invite and activity for your next cocktail party.

The invitations are simple and sweet – perfect for mass production.  We stamped the martini glass, and added the olive skewer. next we masked off the glass and the top and bottom of the card, just so a small strip behind the glass would be open for stamping. Bottom corners were rounded and a sentiment popped along the left edge to complete the card.

For the activity we wanted to create a fun ice breaker – Conversation Cards. Do you recognize the little box?  It is the the pocket portion of the Bottle Tag die cut.  We added two small score lines a 1/4″ apart and trimmed off the hanger, to create a way to package our “Conversation Cards”.  We’ve added a PDF download of the cards, if you would like to use them for your next party.  It’s a great way to get to know your guests and get the conversation going.

Here you can see a quick snip along the hanger score line and you have your box base.  Another fun thing about this die cut….you always get a perfect 1.75″ circle from the hanger cut out.  We love it when die cuts can serve multiple purposes.

We adhered the box base with our Simple Adhesive (love this stuff)!

Finally, we created a front panel that coordinated with the invitations, following the same steps. Another fun tip here – you can use the Bottle Tag die to also create a wide flag banner up to 2 5/8″ wide by 2 1/2″ long.

It’s always a special treat for your guests when you mix in a fun activity. You can easily tailor this to work for a baby or bridal shower, a themed holiday party…you would simply change out the questions to relate to your specific theme.

This Bottle Tag die has quickly become a favorite around our office. And not just because cute little Ombre colored bottles like this show up on our desk with sugar crystals to rim your martini glass tucked inside…just sayin’! But there are tons of fab ways you can use it.

We hope you have enjoyed today’s release.  Scroll down for even more {By the Glass} goodness from the Design Team and our special guest designers. This release day party is just getting started…
