Calling all Football Fans

SUPERBOWL PARTY (pt.1)

Are you ready for some football?  We are less than 3 days away from Superbowl XLIV (44) and wanted to give you a little bit of inspiration just in case you are planning a blowout bash for Sunday’s game! Our designer, Kim Howard, kept the party neutral, so she went with a color theme that was not representative of either team in the championship.  But feel free to go all out and create invites and decor based off your team of choice.

Invitations

The invitations set the tone of the party so have fun with them. These invites are decorated inside and out, and the theme is Mayhem and Munchies. Does it get any better on Superbowl Sunday?

For the Invitations…

• FOOTBALL stamp set
• OUTSIDE
  • Cut 8″ x 4″ piece of Say Yellow to All Your Fans cardstock
  • Score at 4″ and fold along crease
  • Cut A Blanc Check (white) cardstock 2′ x 3″
  • Stamp white cardstock with football play stamp in Dish the Dirt Brown ink
  • Cut Glamazon Green cardstock 1″ X 3.75″
  • Stamp green cardstock with sentiment in brown ink
  • Adhere down white cardstock
  • Adhere green cardstock in a cross pattern over the white cardstock
  • Tie twine through brown button and adhere under football play
• INSIDE:
  • Cut green cardstock 3.5″ square and adhere to center of card
  • Print invite details on white cardstock, cut to 3″ square and sponge with brown ink
  • Adhere invite to green layer
  • Stamp, color, trim and pop football image on lower right corner

Menu

It all comes down to the menu, after all the Superbowl is the perfect setting for endless munchies!

For the Menu…

• FOOTBALL stamp set
• Print menu on A Blanc Check (White) cardstock and trim down to desired size
• Mat on Say Yellow to All Your Fans cardstock
• Pierce yellow cardstock in corners and place Glamazon Green brads from the CSS Designer Mix Brads
• Stamp green cardstock randomly with helmet stamp in green ink
• Stamp “Superbowl Menu” with Perfect Little Black Dress ink (also using ALPHA MODERN stamp set)
• Adhere layered menu on green cardstock

Snack Tins

Doesn’t everything seem even cuter when they come in small packaging?  Of course they do! Why should football be any different? Set out bunches of snack stations with football themed snack tins.  This way guests can refill them throughout the game and then take them home as a fun party favor and reminder of Superbowl XLIV.

For the Snack Tins…

• FOOTBALL stamp set
• Take 1″ strip of A Blanc Check (White) cardstock and stamp with Glamazon Green ink using sentiment block
• Adhere strip with sticky strip to small tin container
• Cut 1 3/4″ circle using Say Yellow to All Your Fans cardstock
• Stamp football in Perfect Little Black Dress ink, color with copics, and cut out
• Adhere to top of tin and put football on using dimensionals
• Fill with assorted nuts to double as a party favor guest can take home after the game

Referee Box

The more snacks the merrier. This little popcorn shaped box is a fun element for the party – we can’t forget about the refs!

For the Referee Box…

• FOOTBALL stamp set
• Cut two popcorn box big xl dies shapes, (1) black and (1) white (12 x 12 cardstock)
• Cut the white box into strips, and adhere to black box to create referee stripes
• Assemble popcorn box
• Wrap box with colored baker’s twine and pop whistle image from MVP stamp set
• Fill with bags of pretzels
